We have introduced our own unit of measurement on our platform called Cloudlet. We wanted to be very precise and flexible in calculating the costs of using resources. 1 cloudlet includes simultaneously: 128 MiB of RAM and 400 MHz of processor power.
Dynamic Cloudlets are added and removed automatically. This depends on the amount of resources required by your application at a given moment. That is, the system will add cloudlets when the load increases, and remove them as soon as it decreases. As a result, the usage will be billed based on the actual resource usage.
Reserved Cloudlets are ordered in advance and will be charged regardless of the actual resource usage. We also use them for very demanding applications and services that need more resources at the start to function properly. In return, you will receive an automatic discount.
